Meredith Gieskes is a marketing, content, and public relations executive with over 15 years of experience leading consumer-focused brands within the beauty, fashion, healthcare, and wellness industries. With a background in journalism, Meredith began her career as a writer and editor at ELLE.com, VanityFair.com, and LuckyMag.com before joining Birchbox as one of its first employees. During her tenure there, the company grew from a handful of staffers to several hundred—and Meredith discovered her passion for both startups and brand storytelling. After three and a half years, she was eager to return somewhere early-stage, which led her to roles at a handful of other NYC-based start-ups, first overseeing the marketing department at Shoptiques and then leading brand marketing as a founding team member at Maven (which was recently valued at $1.7bn). From there she went on to run the marketing department at Virgin Sport, a fitness events startup within Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, before becoming the CMO at HeyMama, a social network and community for working moms. In 2022, she joined Nodal, a surrogacy matching platform that connects vetted surrogates with intended parents, as the VP of Marketing. Most recently, she was the CMO of Skin Clique, a nationwide network of on-demand aesthetic providers which is backed by private equity firm Graham Capital.
